Steady Effort Across Two Legs, But Overall Time Slips from Prior Year Madeline covered the swim in 21:41, moving through the water at a solid clip before transitioning in 4:43. On the bike, she averaged roughly 15.7 mph over the 24.4-mile ride, posting a split of 1:33:05 that included some strong middle miles in the 3:30/mile bike pace range. A brief 2:53 second transition led into a 6.2-mile run covered in 1:05:26, finishing with a burst in the final stretch as she closed out the last tenth of a mile in just 22 seconds. Overall, Madeline crossed the line in 3:07:47, good for 127th among women and 10th in her 19-24 age division. This represents a step back from her 2025 performance, where she finished in 2:50:37 about 17 minutes faster. The pacing on the bike and run legs this year suggests there may be room to rebuild speed on the back half of the race, particularly in translating strong swim starts into faster overall splits like she did last season.
