Consistent Swim Speed Paired With a Strong Bike Effort Hailey Shubin turned in a solid all-around performance at the Sprint distance, exiting the water in 20:03 and moving into the top third of the women's field. She carried that momentum through a quick 3:16 T1, then settled into a steady bike leg, covering the course at roughly 11.65 mph over 58:18 a pace that held remarkably consistent through the middle miles before a strong final push, dropping to a 3:45/mile split pace on Mile 12. The run showed some variability, settling into the mid-16:00 per mile range for most of the leg before a strong closing kick, hitting a 5:29 pace over the final tenth of a mile to the finish. A snappy 1:51 second transition helped keep overall momentum going into the run. With time in training on run pacing consistency, Hailey has a clear path to sharpening an already competitive overall result of 2:13:24.
