Steady Pacing Highlighted by a Strong Bike Leg Taylor Roe completed the Sprint Triathlon in 2:05:22, finishing 145th among 570 male competitors and 32nd in the 30-39 age group. The bike leg stood out as the highlight of the race, covering the course at an average speed of roughly 16.7 mph, a pace that moved Taylor up through the field significantly during that segment, reaching as high as 75th overall at one split point. The swim and transitions were solid, setting up a bike leg that showed strong sustained effort. The run began with an encouraging surge, with Taylor's split during the third running section clocking in at a 10:52/mile pace, good for 39th among men at that point in the race. Later run splits slowed slightly, suggesting an opportunity to build endurance for maintaining strong run pace through to the finish line in future events.
