Consistent Effort Fuels a Strong Endurance Test Julie Laumb completed her Olympic-distance race with a swim split of just over half an hour, followed by a composed transition into the bike leg. Her cycling pace varied across the course, but she found her rhythm mid-ride, covering one 10.2-mile stretch at roughly 11.3 mphher strongest sustained effort of the ride. Overall, she averaged close to 9.9 mph on the bike, showing some fluctuation in power output between the early and later miles. The run leg proved to be a steady grind, with Julie maintaining a workman-like pace through each mile marker despite visible fatigue in the later miles. Her transitions were efficient, and she crossed the finish line with a strong final kick, closing out a well-rounded performance that balanced all three disciplines. Finishing 31st in her division, Julie showed the kind of tenacity that comes from consistent training and race-day focus.
