Consistent Bike Power Fuels a Well-Balanced Olympic Effort Alicia Card turned in a well-rounded performance at the Olympic distance, anchored by a strong ride through the rolling middle miles of the bike course. Her pace peaked near 17.9 mph on one downhill stretch between miles 8.8 and 19, showing she can capitalize on favorable terrain and maintain control at speed. The swim leg was steady, and while T1 ran a bit long, her ability to settle quickly into a strong bike rhythm afterward speaks well of her transition recovery. The run held together nicely, with mile splits consistently in the 10:1510:54 range even as fatigue set in late in the race. She finished 33rd in her 35-39 age division and 191st among 1,987 women, reflecting a balanced, well-executed race from start to finish. Tightening up transition times could shave a bit more off her overall result moving forward.
