Steady Pacing Fuels a Mid-Race Surge Adam Frost completed the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 2:33:13, finishing 409th overall out of 570 and 17th in the male 50-59 division. After navigating the Snake River swim, Adam settled into a strong bike leg, covering the 11.3-mile course at roughly 12.8 mph a solid, consistent effort on rolling terrain. The run showed a notable surge: during one stretch, Adam climbed to 97th overall (52nd among men, 6th in his division), showing a strong mid-race gear shift before settling back into a steady finishing pace. One area to note for future races is transition efficiency both T1 (12:21) and T2 (10:48) ran long relative to the rest of the race. Tightening these could shave meaningful time off the overall clock. Overall, a well-paced bike leg and a strong surge on the run point to solid aerobic fitness and good in-race adaptability.
