Steady Effort Highlighted by a Strong Bike Leg Jake Njord turned in a well-rounded performance at the Olympic distance, moving through the water in the middle of the field before facing a lengthier transition heading into the bike. Once on the course, he found his rhythm, averaging roughly 17 mph over the ride and climbing as high as 522nd overall at one pointa clear sign of strong, consistent power on two wheels. The run proved to be another bright spot, as Jake steadily worked his way up the field, gaining dozens of positions over the final miles to finish 1222nd overall out of 1987 competitors. A quick final kick in the closing stretch capped off a race defined by resilience and improvement across each discipline. With a solid bike leg and a determined run, this performance offers a strong foundation to build on for future Olympic-distance events.
