Consistent Pacing Fuels Steady Olympic Finish Christian Sorensen completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:10:59, placing 54th in the Elite Mens division. He moved efficiently through the swim and T1, then settled into a bike leg covered at roughly 15.9 mph before transitioning quickly into the run. His run pace held steady in the low 11-minute-per-mile range through the closing miles, showing solid endurance after a long bike effort. Compared to his 2024 Spudman result of 2:52:08, this years time was about 19 minutes slower, yet Christian actually improved his standing within the Elite Mens division, moving from 63rd to 54th. That contrast suggests strong relative performance against a tougher field this year. Going forward, sharpening bike speed and trimming transition times could help him pair his divisional progress with faster overall finishes in future Spudman races.
