Strong Bike Effort Anchors a Steady Finish Braxton Loock crossed the line in 3:44:41 at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, finishing 1191st overall out of 1,987 finishers. His swim came in at 22:40, setting up a bike leg of 1:38:05 over roughly 24.4 miles averaging about 14.9 mph, a strong showing that moved him up several hundred spots in the field by the end of the ride. The run split of 1:27:15 rounded out the day. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 3:03:50, this year's time was noticeably slower, driven largely by a run pace that dropped off in the closing miles his final 5K split slowed to over 17 minutes per mile. Both transitions (9:21 and 7:21) also ran long; tightening those could shave meaningful time off future results.
