A Season-Best Performance on the Snake River Austin Campbell turned in his fastest Olympic-distance finish at Spudman yet, crossing the line in 2:42:47nearly five minutes faster than his 2025 result and over four minutes better than his 2024 time. That improvement translated into a strong 202nd overall finish among 1,987 athletes and 22nd in the Elite Men division, a notable jump from his 53rd-place finish in that division last year. The bike leg was a clear highlight, where Austin averaged roughly 19.2 mph and surged into the top 100 overall at one point during the ride. He carried that momentum into the run, holding a steady pace in the low 9:00s per mile and climbing from 222nd to 202nd overall over the final miles. Combined with a swift transition through T2, this was a well-executed, progressively strong race from start to finish.
