Powerful Bike Leg Highlights a Strong Olympic Debut RaeLynne turned in a well-balanced Olympic-distance performance, highlighted by a bike leg that consistently clicked into the high-17 to 19 mph range during several key segments, including a stretch covering over 10 miles at roughly 19.2 mph. That strength on two wheels moved her into the top half of her age group by the bike dismount, climbing to 9th in the 40-44 division before transitioning into the run. The run opened fast, with an 8:56 first mile that ranked among her best splits of the day. Pacing eased through the middle and later miles, settling into the 9:4510:20 per mile range as fatigue set in, which allowed a few competitors to move past her over the closing miles. Finishing in 3:00:15 with a 12th-place division result, there's a clear opportunity to build durability in the run to better hold onto those strong early-bike gains through the finish line.
