Fast Start, Fading Finish Kylie Farr opened her Spudman sprint with a standout swim, clocking 15:57 to sit inside the top 40 overall exiting the water an early signal of sharp pacing and confidence in the water. She backed that up with a brisk transition, moving quickly onto the bike course. From there, the pace settled: her bike split averaged just under 9.6 mph, and her position gradually slipped through the remainder of the race. She crossed the line 387th overall out of 570 participants and 198th among women. The run, covering just over three miles, unfolded near a 16-minute-per-mile pace a noticeable dip from the strength she showed in the swim. Building bike power and run durability could help Kylie carry her early-race momentum all the way to the finish next time out.
