Strong Bike Leg Fuels a Runner-Up Finish Ember Farr turned in a standout performance, finishing 14th among all women and runner-up in the tough 20-29 age group. After a swim leg that put her mid-pack, she surged forward on the bike, riding at a brisk 16.2 mph average to move up more than 100 spots in the overall standingsone of the strongest bike splits in her division. Off the bike, Ember carried that momentum into the run, showing a smart pacing strategy. Her per-mile pace tightened steadily over the run course, dropping from an 8:32 early split down to 7:51 by the finisha clear negative split that speaks to strong endurance and mental discipline. Combined with quick transitions, this all-around effort placed her 50th overall out of 570 finishers. A great showing that highlights both bike strength and negative-split running ability.
