Steady Bike Power Anchors a Top-Five Age-Group Finish Lorraine Dickson turned in a strong overall performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, crossing the line in 3:23:32 to place 5th in the women's 60-64 division and 213th among all female finishers. Her standout leg was the bike course, where she averaged nearly 17 mph, climbing from 810th to 562nd overall during the middle milesa clear surge in effort that reshaped her position heading into the run. The run leg showed grit with a mostly steady pace in the 13-minute range per mile, holding position within her age group late in the race. Compared to her 2022 Spudman result (2:55:39), this year's time reflects a different pacing strategy, especially on the swim and run legs. With her bike strength clearly established, sharpening swim-to-bike transitions and even run pacing could help her close the gap to her personal best in future races.
