Strong Bike Surge Fuels a Determined Olympic Finish Diana Keys of Burley, Idaho, completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:28:27, finishing 236th among 987 women. Her bike leg stood out, averaging roughly 15.2 mph over the course, with a standout mid-ride stretch where she climbed into the top 15 in her division and top 75 women overall a clear sign of strong power on two wheels. Her transitions were efficient, and she carried solid momentum into the run before settling into a steady pace of about 12:00 per mile to close out the race. Compared to her 2025 Spudman finish of 3:20:19, this year's time was about eight minutes slower, with the gap emerging mainly in the back half of the run. The early race execution swim, transitions, and bike showed consistent strength, suggesting that maintaining run intensity in the later miles could be a valuable focus for her next race.
