Consistent Gains Despite a Slower Clock William Blauer completed the Olympic distance in Burley with a strong swim of 24:38, transitioning efficiently through both T1 (3:55) and T2 (3:04). His bike leg was the standout segment, covering the course at roughly 18.35 mph, showing solid power on the rolling terrain. The run settled in around a 10:42/mile average, closing out a well-rounded overall effort. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 2:53:33, this year's 2:57:49 was slightly slower, but his placements improved significantlyjumping from 658th to 453rd overall, 523rd to 377th in his gender group, and 73rd to 57th in his division. Run splits showed some fade over the back half, moving from a 9:56 mile early on to an 11:20 mile late in the run. Tightening that pacing curve could be a strong focus for future training blocks.
