Strong Bike Leg Fuels Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Trevor Schulz completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:02:10, placing 546th overall out of 1,987 finishers and 67th in a stacked mens 30-34 division. After a steady swim exit, he turned in the standout segment of his race on the bike, averaging roughly 18.3 mph across the course a surge that pushed him into the top 400 overall by the second transition. The run told a different story, as his pace cooled from a strong 8:49 opening mile to well over 17 minutes per mile by mile 31, costing him ground hed gained on the bike. Still, he found another gear to close out the final stretch to the finish line. Building more consistent pacing across the run could help him better protect the positions he earns on the bike in future races.
