A Balanced Olympic Effort with a Strong Bike Leg Ammon Orrock completed his Olympic-distance race in 3:42:37, showing solid all-around fitness across all three disciplines. He exited the water in 22:40 for the swim, then settled into a strong rhythm on the bike, covering the 24.4-mile course at an average of roughly 14.2 mph in 1:42:52. Transitions were efficient, with T1 in 7:21 and T2 in just 4:57, reflecting good preparation and race-day execution. The run proved to be the most demanding leg of the day, with Ammon covering the 6.2-mile course in 1:24:49. His pacing showed some fluctuation as the run progressed, with a strong start giving way to a gradual slowdown over the final miles a natural area to target in future training blocks, whether through added run-specific endurance work off the bike or pacing strategy. Overall, this was a well-rounded performance that balanced solid swim and bike segments with a run that offers clear opportunities for growth.
