Shaving Minutes Off a Personal Best Through Steady Pacing Brian Green turned in a strong showing at the 2026 Olympic Triathlon, finishing in 4:13:59 an improvement of nearly nine minutes over his 2025 result of 4:22:41. His swim came in at 31:00, followed by a swift transition, then a bike leg where he averaged roughly 14.3 mph over the course. Off the bike, Brian settled into a steady rhythm on the run, holding a consistent pace in the 17:1617:28 per mile range for the bulk of the run leg. Notably, Brian found another gear in the closing stretch, dropping to a 6:14 pace over the final tenth of a mile a strong finishing kick after over four hours of racing. While his overall time improved significantly year-over-year, his division ranking dipped slightly (35th vs. 28th in 2025), suggesting the field may have been deeper. Still, this was a race defined by consistency and a well-timed final push.
