Climbing Steadily From Start to Finish Lauren Jensen's race began mid-pack, exiting the Snake River swim in 367th place overall after a 23:46 swim leg. She wasted little time making up ground once on the bike, covering the 12.45-mile course in 50:03 an average of nearly 14.9 mph which lifted her to 246th overall and 27th in her 20-29 age group by the bike's end. The run proved to be her strongest segment relative to the field, where she surged from 221st to 138th overall by the finish. Her 28:07 run split helped her finish 55th among 570 women and 14th in her competitive division. Lauren closed strong, holding an 8:45 pace over the final half-mile before crossing the line in 1:48:32.
