Big Improvement Fuels a Strong Olympic-Distance Finish Nikkala Dabrowski turned in a much-improved performance this year, finishing in 3:05:49 nearly 12 minutes faster than her previous Olympic-distance result of 3:17:59. That improvement translated directly into the standings, as she climbed from 1065th overall to 621st, and from 273rd to 114th among women, while also improving her age group placement from 37th to 15th. The bike leg stood out as a particular strength, with Dabrowski averaging roughly 16.4 mph over the course, a segment where she steadily climbed through the field, moving from 1082nd to 671st overall by the bike finish. Her run showed solid pacing as well, holding a consistent rhythm through the final miles. Building on this bike strength while looking for similar gains in the swim could offer further opportunities to close the gap with the top of her division in future races.
