Steady Pacing Delivers a Strong Age-Group Finish Clip Holverson turned in a well-rounded sprint-triathlon performance, finishing 201st overall out of 570 and placing 6th in the Male 50-59 division. His bike leg was a clear highlight, covering roughly 12.45 miles at an estimated 14.5 mph average speed, a pace that steadily moved him up through the field from 353rd position exiting the swim to 253rd by the bike's midpoint. The run showed a strong early surge, with Clip climbing as high as 50th overall and 31st among men during the first mile off the bike, before settling into a consistent finishing pace. Transitions were efficient, and his overall progression through the race reflects solid pacing discipline. Building on the bike segment's momentum with a more consistent run pace could help him close out future races even stronger.
