Steady Pacing Across All Three Disciplines Delivers a Strong Age-Group Showing David turned in a well-balanced Olympic-distance performance, finishing 63rd overall out of 1,987 competitors and 6th in the competitive 50-54 age group. His swim was a highlight, covering the 0.86-mile course in 18:14 for the 5th-fastest split in his division, and he backed it up with an efficient transition to head onto the bike in the top 40 overall. The bike leg was equally strong, averaging roughly 20.2 mph over 24.39 miles and moving him into 8th in his division. He closed with a steady 53:49 run, holding his position among the top finishers in his age group. Compared to his 2025 Spudman result (2:27:04, 13th in division), David improved his division placement significantly this year despite a nearly identical overall time, reflecting more consistent pacing across the three legs.
