Steady Pacing Fuels Strong Age-Group Bike Push Michelle Taylor turned in a well-rounded sprint-distance performance at Spudman, finishing 100th overall and 36th among women in a field of 570, while placing 4th in the competitive 50-59 age group. Her race showed real strength on the bike, where she averaged roughly 15.3 mph and climbed as high as 8th in her division mid-ride before settling into 5th by the dismount a clear sign of solid power and pacing on two wheels. Off the bike, Michelle's run settled into a consistent rhythm in the 11:2011:30 min/mile range, with a strong closing kick down to a 10:52 pace late in the leg. Both transitions were quick and efficient, helping her maintain overall positioning. Building on more bike strength could help her climb even higher in future sprint-distance events.
