Strong Bike Surge Highlights a Well-Rounded Olympic Debut Cason completed the Olympic distance in 3:15:37, finishing 18th in the 1-19 Solo Male division. After a 25:33 swim, he moved through T1 in 5:27 and settled into a bike leg that averaged roughly 17.2 mph over 25.36 miles. His strongest stretch came in the middle of the ride, where a 5.6-mile split at nearly 17.9 mph briefly pushed him into 7th place in his division and 211th overall a clear sign of solid bike fitness. Coming off the bike in 1:28:34, Cason moved efficiently through T2 in just 2:39 and settled into the run. The 1:13:26 run leg was steady, though his division placement slipped slightly from the bike-leg peak, finishing 18th. With that kind of mid-race speed already in his legs, sharpening the transition-to-run rhythm could help him hold those gains through the finish line next time.
