Daniel Taylor Surges Up the Standings with a Strong All-Around Olympic-Distance Finish Daniel Taylor returned to Spudman in 2026 and turned in a well-rounded performance, finishing in 2:21:28 a slight improvement over his 2:22:56 from 2025. The bigger story was his climb through the field: he moved from 101st overall to 40th, and from 20th to 13th in the Elite Mens division, a testament to more consistent pacing across all three disciplines. His bike leg stood out, covering the course at roughly 21.5 mph, a segment where he steadily climbed positions throughout, moving from 61st to 27th at points along the route. A brisk 2:22 T1 kept transition time to a minimum, and his 48:31 run rounded out a race where he chipped away at his position from start to finish. Compared to last year, Daniel has shown clear progress a good sign of both fitness gains and sharper race execution heading into future events.
