Steady Pacing Highlighted by a Strong Mid-Run Surge Vicki Nielsen completed the Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 2:17:03, moving through a downstream swim before tackling the bike leg at a steady 12.17 mph average. Transitions were efficient, with T1 and T2 combined totaling under 14 minutes, allowing for a smooth shift into the run segment. The run showed a notable jump in performance, as Vicki surged to 82nd overall and 5th in her division during the third run split a strong mid-race push that outpaced her overall standing. While her early and late run splits settled into a more moderate rhythm, that middle-mile effort stands out as the highlight of her race, showing she has the ability to find another gear when needed.
