Steady Bike Power Fuels Solid Olympic Finish James Bledsoe of Nampa, ID completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:59:03, finishing 473rd overall out of 1,987 and 25th in the Men's 50-54 division. His swim came in at 21:27, followed by a strong bike leg of 1:24:04 averaging roughly 17.4 mph over the course where he posted the fastest split in his division at one timing point, ranking 1st among 50-54 competitors. Transitions were efficient, with T1 in 2:53 and T2 in just 1:56. The run rounded out his day in 1:08:45. Compared to his 2023 (2:40:38) and 2024 (2:46:09) Spudman performances, this year's time reflects a gradual pacing shift, particularly on the run split. James continues to show consistent bike strength year over year an area that could serve as a foundation for shaving time off the run in future races.
