Steady Bike Split Anchors a Well-Paced Olympic Debut Jaden Wood completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:21:19, finishing 892nd overall out of 1,987 and 71st in the mens 25-29 division. He came out of the Snake River in 28:52, transitioned in 7:06, then logged a 1:34:02 bike leg that averaged roughly 15.6 mph over the 24-plus mile course. Several bike segments were especially strong, including a stretch that clocked in near 17-18 mph, showing solid power on the flatter portions of the ride. After a 7:22 second transition, Jaden opened the run with a strong 9:40 mile before settling into a 10:03 pace over the next several miles. The final stretch saw some fade, with pace dropping into the 12-minute range before a sharp final kickcovering the last tenth of a mile at a 5:43 pace. Working on sustaining that early run rhythm through the back half could help smooth out the overall run split next time.
