The result continues a gradual year-over-year increase in finishing time since that peak performance, with times climbing in 2024, 2025, and now 2026. On the bike, Joe averaged roughly 15.6 mph over the 24.4-mile course, highlighted by a strong mid-ride stretch where his pace dropped to about 3:12 per mile his fastest segment of the day and good enough for 179th among men at that point. The swim and run legs were steady, though his overall pace slowed in the races second half, particularly across the final run splits.
