Bike Split Fuels a Mid-Race Surge Cailey Boren turned in a well-rounded sprint triathlon performance, finishing 202nd overall out of 570 and 90th among women. After exiting the water in the back half of the field, she used a strong bike leg averaging roughly 15.3 mph to climb from 270th to 136th overall by mile 12, a notable move that reflected steady, controlled power on two wheels. Her transitions were efficient, helping preserve the positional gains made on the bike. On the run, Cailey settled into a consistent rhythm, holding pace in the 11:3012:15 min/mile range through the closing miles before a strong final kick to the finish. While the swim placed her mid-pack early on, the bike leg clearly stood out as the highlight of her race, and continued focus on swim efficiency could help her carry even more momentum into the bike and run legs in future events.
