Strong Swim Start Fuels Solid Sprint Finish Blaine Salisbury opened his Spudman Sprint Triathlon with an standout swim, clocking 15:32 and moving into 29th place overallgood enough for 7th in his 30-39 age group at that point. He carried solid momentum through T1 and onto the bike, holding position through the front half of the ride at a pace exceeding 14 mph before easing off slightly in the back half. This aligned with his overall placement of 152nd out of 570 finishers. The run leg saw Blaine settle into a steady rhythm, completing the 3.11-mile course in 34:50. While his early swim and bike splits ranked him in the top 30-40 overall, his positions gradually shifted through the run, finishing 92nd among men and 23rd in his division. A slightly quicker second transition (T2 at 1:58) shows he's dialed in on efficiencyan area to continue leveraging as he looks to close the gap on the run in future races.
