Bike Strength Drives Steady Climb Through the Field Olivia Peterson closed out this years Olympic-distance race in 2:47:15, finishing 51st among 838 women and 4th in the competitive 25-29 age group. Her bike leg was the standout segment, covering roughly 24.4 miles at an average of 16.3 mph a surge that moved her from 1,371st place after the swim up into the top 500 by the midpoint of the ride. She backed that up with a strong close, running her final 6.2 miles at close to a 6:19/mile pace. Compared to her 2025 Spudman finish of 2:39:16, this years result came in about eight minutes slower, though last years race was completed in the non-competitive division. Transition times 6:48 in T1 and 4:33 in T2 stand out as areas where trimming even a minute or two could meaningfully improve her overall placement next time out.
