Bike Strength Highlights a Hard-Fought Olympic Finish Ridge posted a strong swim of 25:46 to exit the Snake River in solid position, transitioning quickly through T1 (4:44) onto the bike course. The bike leg was a clear highlight covering the roughly 24.4-mile ride at an average of about 14.7 mph, moving him as high as 298th overall mid-ride. A brisk T2 (3:44) led into the run, where pace settled into the 10:5413:41/mile range over the final 6.6 miles, closing out a 3:33:23 finish and 54th in the 19-24 age group. Compared to his 2025 Spudman result (3:06:41), this year's overall time slowed by roughly 27 minutes, driven mainly by a softer run split. The bike remains a clear strength to build from, while sharpening run pacing off the bike could bring next year's overall time back down.
