Steady Effort Delivers a Solid All-Around Performance Dakota's swim covered just under a mile in 28:16, setting up a smooth transition into the bike leg. On the bike, he averaged right around 14.0 mph over the 24-plus mile course, with a standout push through the middle miles his split near mile 19 clocked in at an eye-catching 3:34/mile pace, a clear high point in his ride and a signal of strong power on that stretch. T1 and T2 were both efficient, combining for under nine minutes total, keeping his momentum intact between disciplines. The run leg covered just under 6.5 miles in 1:11:55, with pacing that gradually eased over the final miles a common pattern worth addressing in future training blocks, particularly building durability in the back half of the run. Compared to his previous finish here, this year's overall time came in about 13 minutes slower, though his overall placement (1058th) improved relative to last year's field. The bike remains his most developed discipline right now, and tightening up the run closing miles could be the next area to target.
