Steady Pacing Fuels a Strong Mid-Race Surge Ellie Heath's sprint triathlon showed a clear rhythm of building momentum. She exited the swim in a solid position within her age group, then used the bike leg to make her biggest gainsclimbing from 43rd to 19th in her division by the bike's midpoint. Her strongest segment came between miles 6 and 9, where she averaged roughly 16.5 mph, a notable jump in intensity that pushed her overall ranking up significantly during the ride. The run leg saw a bit of a give-back, with pacing settling into the 1213 minute/mile range and her position slipping slightly from the bike's peak. Still, she finished with a final overall time of 2:04:17, placing 31st in her competitive division. The bike remains her standout strength this race, while the run presents a clear opportunity to work on maintaining post-bike leg speed for future events.
