Strong Bike Leg Powers a Solid Sprint Finish Carly Luikart turned in a well-rounded performance at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing in 1:44:06 and placing 104th overall out of 570 athletes. Her swim was steady, but it was the bike leg where she truly shinedaveraging nearly 18 mph over the 13.17-mile course, she surged from 127th to 91st overall by the bike dismount, a jump of 36 spots that showcased excellent cycling strength. The run leg saw her overall position ease slightly to 104th, suggesting there's an opportunity to build more run endurance to match her cycling power. Still, finishing 12th in her 30-39 division highlights a competitive overall day. With such a strong bike foundation already in place, sharpening run pacing could be a great focus for future races to fully capitalize on the momentum built on two wheels.
