A Breakthrough Performance Worth Celebrating Jake completed the Olympic distance in 2:59:09, slicing more than 14 minutes off his 2025 time of 3:13:12. That improvement moved him from 996th to 478th overall, and from 750th to 395th among men, reflecting stronger execution across all three disciplines. The bike leg stood out, covering 24.39 miles in 1:22:06 for an average of roughly 17.8 mph, including a strong 10.2-mile stretch ridden at over 20 mph. A steady 24:11 swim and efficient transitions (5:22 and 3:57) carried that momentum into a 6.21-mile run finished in 1:03:35, about a 10:14 per mile pace. Placing 24th in the Non-Competitive division, Jake's well-rounded effort marks a clear step forward from last year's Spudman result.
