Age-Group Champion Powers Through with a Blistering Bike and Strong Finish Bailey Heninger delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, capturing 1st place in the Women's 25-29 division and finishing 8th among all female competitors, placing 98th overall out of 1,987 athletes. Her bike leg was a standout, averaging roughly 17.9 mph, with a notable surge in the middle miles where her pace climbed to nearly 20 mph before settling into the transition. That strength on the bike vaulted her from 679th place after the swim into the top 150 by the bike's midpoint. Her run leg showcased composure and positive pacing, gradually working through the field to move from 343rd to 98th overall by the finish. Splits tightened as the run progressed, reflecting a strong closing kick that sealed her age-group victory. A swim in the 23-minute range and quick transitions rounded out a well-executed race across all three disciplines.
