Powerful Bike Leg Fuels a Strong Olympic Podium Push Collette turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance, finishing 54th among women and 9th in her competitive age group. Her bike leg was the standout of the dayaveraging roughly 18.4 mph over the courseand included a blistering mid-ride stretch where she posted the 2nd-fastest split in her division, climbing to 70th overall at that point in the race. The swim was steady, setting up a clean transition into the bike where she made significant ground. On the run, she started strong with a sub-10-minute opening mile, but pace gradually eased over the final miles, sliding from 9:47 to just past 11:00 per mile. Tightening up that back-half run fade could be a great focus for even faster results in her next race.
