Bike Strength Carries a Determined Olympic Finish Jaynie completed her third trip through this Olympic-distance event in 3:24:50, opening with a smooth 24:59 swim and a crisp 5:08 T1 transition. On the bike, she averaged roughly 16.6 mph across the 24-mile course, highlighted by a standout mid-ride surge where she covered 5.6 miles at nearly 18.3 mph good enough for 4th in her age division on that segment alone. A fast 3:11 T2 kept her momentum rolling into the run. The 1:23:33 run brought her home for an overall time that, while a bit off her personal-best 3:03:59 from last year's Spudman, still outpaced her 2023 finish of 3:18:18. With her bike leg proving to be a real strength this year, tightening up run consistency in the closing miles could be the next area to unlock an even faster finish next season.
