Consistent Effort Delivers a Strong Olympic Finish Kathy Price completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in Burley, Idaho, showing strong composure across all three disciplines. Her bike leg stood out, particularly a burst near the midpoint where she averaged over 15 mph on a stretch that also included notable elevation shifts, ultimately settling at an overall bike average near 13 mph. This surge helped her move up nearly 100 overall positions during the ride, showing solid power and pacing management on varied terrain. The run leg saw a steadier effort, with pacing settling in the mid-15 to 16 minute per mile range as fatigue set in during the later miles. Her swim and transitions were efficient and well-executed, helping set up a strong overall bike performance. Kathy finished 16th in her 50-54 age division, capping off a well-rounded race with a clear highlight on the bike course.
