Steady Pacing Powers a Strong Olympic-Distance Finish Tessa Hamilton completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:22:34, finishing 204th among women and 35th in the 35-39 age division. Her swim came in at 30:56, followed by a brisk 3:12 transition into the bike leg. On the bike, she covered the course at an average of roughly 16.6 mph, posting a split of 1:28:03 that showed strong, consistent power through the rolling terrain. A quick 2:37 T2 kept her moving efficiently into the run, where she closed out the race with a 1:17:49 split, holding a steady effort across the final miles. Compared to her 2025 Spudman performancewhere she finished in 3:13:41Tessa's overall time was about nine minutes slower this year, though her placement within her competitive field remained fairly consistent. The bike and swim performances remain her strongest assets, and continuing to build run speed off the bike could help her close the gap toward her 2025 pace in future races.
