Strong Bike Split Powers Steady Olympic Finish Joey Gibson completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:07:38, placing 528th among male finishers and 50th in the 25-29 division. His swim came in at 26:04, followed by a quick 4:10 transition into the bike leg, where he found his rhythmhitting a strong stretch averaging roughly 17.8 mph before settling into an overall bike pace near 16.5 mph across the 24-mile ride. Off the bike, Joey moved through T2 in just 2:17 and settled into a consistent run effort, holding paces in the 10:15-11:00 per mile range through the finish. His steadiest running came in the middle miles, showing solid endurance after a strong bike leg. With a well-paced bike split as the highlight of the day, Joey has a good foundation to build run speed off the bike for future Olympic-distance races.
