Young Athlete Powers Through with a Standout Bike and Blistering Run Cody Richards, 18, tackled the Olympic distance at Spudman with a well-rounded performance across all three disciplines. He completed the swim in 39:22, then shifted into a strong bike leg, covering the course at roughly 13 mph, a pace that moved him from mid-pack after the swim into the top 500 overall by the final bike splits. His run split of 13:43 stood out as the fastest segment of his race, showing impressive closing speed and strong leg turnover off the bike. Both transitions7:52 in T1 and 11:15 in T2were on the longer side and represent a clear opportunity to shave time in future races. Cody finished 15th in the 1-19 Solo Male division and 493rd among all men, a strong showing that reflects his bike strength and closing speed as areas to build on going forward.
