Steady Bike Power Drives Strong Age-Group Finish Melanie Stewart turned in a well-balanced performance at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing in 1:57:17 and placing 16th in the competitive 40-49 age group. Her bike leg was the highlight, averaging roughly 14.6 mph and briefly pushing her as high as 8th in her division during the middle milesa clear sign of strong cycling fitness on the Snake River course. Her transitions were crisp, helping maintain momentum between disciplines, and she showed real strength on the run as well, climbing to 3rd in her division during one mid-run segment before settling into a steady closing pace.
