Age-Group Champion Powers to the Top of the Podium Dean Bloxham claimed the top spot in the 65-69 age division, capping a strong all-around performance. His bike leg stood out most, covering just over 24 miles at an estimated 18.3 mph, a segment where he steadily climbed the field from 969th to 519th place overall. The swim was solid and set up a clean transition, while his run showed consistent pacing in the 8:30s per mile over the final miles, even closing with a strong final push through the announcer's mat. Compared to his previous two Spudman appearances, Dean's overall time was a bit slower, but that came while racing in a new, more competitive age bracket. Where he finished 7th and 11th in the 60-64 division in prior years, this result marks a clear step forward a division win that reflects strong consistency across all three disciplines rather than one standout leg.
