Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Andy Warren #7251 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Steady Pacing Powers a Strong Step Up to Olympic Distance Andy Warren tackled his first Olympic-distance Spudman this year, a big jump from his 2025 Sprint finish, and turned in a well-rounded performance across all three legs. His swim was efficient, and he moved through T1 in just over seven minutes to set up a bike leg that held a solid average of roughly 13.2 mph over nearly 24.4 miles with a standout mid-course surge covering over 10 miles at nearly 15 mph. The run proved to be the most demanding segment, with his pace settling in the mid-14-minute-per-mile range as fatigue set in over the 10K distance. Even so, Warren crossed the line in 3:56:50, placing 13th in the competitive 65-69 Solo Male division. Given his strong sprint result last year, this Olympic-distance finish shows real range and there's clear opportunity to build run endurance for an even stronger showing next season.
