Bike Strength Fuels Runner-Up Finish in Tough Field Liz Jensen closed out the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:57:20, good for 2nd in the women's 60-64 division and 72nd among all female finishers in a field of 1,987. Her bike leg was the standout of the dayaveraging over 18 mph and briefly putting her in 1st place within her division near the midpoint of the course. A steady 20:54 swim and quick transitions (4:30 and 2:01) kept her well positioned heading onto the run. This marks Liz's fourth consecutive Spudman finish, following podium showings in 2022, 2023, and 2024. While her overall time was slower than those previous years, she matched her best division finish yet (2nd). The run showed some fade over the final miles, dropping from a strong 10:38 opening mile to just over 12:00 pace latean area to target for closing out future races with the same strength she carries on the bike.
