Steady Bike Surge Anchors Solid Olympic-Distance Effort Jake Willmore opened his day with a 23:33 swim, moving through the water efficiently before a lengthier-than-average 12:22 T1. He found his groove on the bike, covering the roughly 24-mile course at an average of just over 15.5 mph, with his pace actually improving in the later bike splits a strong sign of even effort and smart pacing rather than fading late. After a 7:20 T2, Jake settled into the run at a steady 9:37 min/mile average, holding his position through the final miles. He crossed the finish line in 3:17:03, placing 822nd overall out of 1,987 finishers and 65th in the competitive Men's 25-29 division a well-balanced performance across all three disciplines.
